This is a twice yearly reminder to all OJH readers: review and update your emergency preparations!
- Change the batteries in your smoke/fire alarms
- Check your carbon monoxide alarm
- Check the fire extinguishers in your home (or buy them if you don’t have them)
- Review your emergency plan and rehearse it with your kids
- Update your emergency cards
- Refresh your emergency kit: Change water, take out expired/soon to expire food, update clothing size/season, refresh medications, etc.
- Check your car emergency kit
