Shabbat menu: Vayeshev

I didn’t post a menu plan this week, but just in case you are wondering, here is our Shabbat menu as of now (subject to change, of course. 🙂 ) We’ve already made the layers for the 7-layer cookies, the chicken is eying me from the fridge, the sweet potatoes are waiting in the pantry, and the meatballs, broccoli kugel, and other cookies are chilling in the freezer. (Sorry for the pun…sometimes, they just get away from me!)

Friday night (just us):

  • Challah
  • Salads (hummus, eggplant, zhug, a new bell pepper spread I’m trying, and maybe carrot)
  • soup: kreplach or maybe matza balls–(kids’ favorite!)
  • sweet and sour meatballs
  • rice
  • snickerdoodle cookies

Shabbat lunch (+4A (3c) guests)
