I’m trying to be intentional about my life and my home, without letting everything slip by. I want to grab hold of my time and get what I want out of it. And that means goals.
If you’re a regular reader of this site, you know how I feel about goals. I can sum it up for you, though:
If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will get you there.
I know where I want to go: a happy, Torah true family, good family relationships, a relatively clean and orderly house, some peace…this is where I’m headed. And I’m doing it bit by bit, goal by goal. So when I saw another blogger writing about her weekly goals, it kind of stuck with me. I want to share a few of my goals here, too. And maybe even hear from you!
My biggest immediate goal is to finish my Ph.D. As posted late last year, I was just waiting to collect my data. Now, I’ve collected it, written it up, and after several revisions, it is done. I have about two weeks until I will defend, and then I should be DONE!
Here are a few of my weekly goals (in addition to staying current on my regular routines, school, and preparing for sleepover guests):
- Review, revise, and rehearse slide show for oral defense
- Clean, inventory, and declutter the basement
- Finalize Purim costumes for everyone
- Plan mishloach manot (that’s right, only a little over 2 weeks until Purim!)
- Decide on seudah plans
- Purim activity plans and baking for school
- Give haircuts all around
What are you planning to do this week?
