Vayikra: Resources and ideas

Vayikra (parsha)

This week, we start a whole new sefer (book): Vayikra / Leviticus. The big focus this week is on the different types of korbanot / sacrifices: which kind, who, and what. Because this is the Shabbat before Rosh Hodesh Nissan, we also read Hachodesh (Exodus 12:1–20). This section reviews Jewish calendar (with Nissan as its head) and the laws of Passover.

Links: Here are the Aish, Torah.org, and Chabad pages on Vayikra. Here are some coloring sheets, a parsha song, and some parsha questions for your Shabbat table.

Make this siddur cake

Or try this korbonot cake

Try these exotic Chinese moon cakes (with rice flour and adjuki bean paste) – for the new moon.

How about some cow cookies?

Any other ideas?
