Busy Bag: Envelope stuffing

This is a pretty simple busy bag. It is made of felt envelopes sewn at the sides, felt stamps, and laminated paper “letters.” It’s meant to stuff and stamp the envelopes and get them ready to mail.

We have tried this several times, and each time, it holds the attention of my 2.5, 5, and 7 year olds for about 2 minutes each. It was kind of tricky for my 2 year old to stuff, and the older kids had an easier time with the manual dexterity part, and did a little color coordination, but once through and they were done. So it’s interesting in theory, but not so good for us.
