This week, we begin a new book: Bamidbar (Numbers).

It is very fitting, then, that is starts with a census! There were 603,550 men of ages 20 to 60 years and the tribe of Levi, which was counted seperately, numbered 22,300 males one month or older. The tribe of Levi breaks down, carries, and assembles the Mishkan, and then camps around it. The other tribes camp around them. Each tribe had it’s own leader and flag.

Of course, Shavuot is coming, too, which means that some prep time is going there. But here are some links: Here are the Aish, Torah.org, and Chabad pages on Bamidbar. Here are some coloring sheets, a parsha song, and a fun video from Itche Kadoozy. Here’s a good  outline from the awesome Jennifer at Adventures in Mama-Land. Or check out something from chinuch.org on Bamidbar .
