An OJH button!

This blog has taught me a lot. First, although I am computer literate, I never really had to deal too much with html or anything else more involved than clicking through webpages.

Since I started writing here, I updated a premade template, added in configured widgets, wrote code to change aspects on the blog (like the color links appear), and more. And last night, I buckled down and made a button.

Buttons!

Oops, not that kind of button. 🙂 This kind:

A button is something that people often put down the side of their blogs – if you look, I have a few from blogs I read regularly. It’s a way to get the word out about something. Sustainable Jewish Schooling offered to post a button…only I didn’t have one. But I got to work, and in about an hour, I did! (Future buttons will take me MUCH less time now that I figured it out.) And I did it all for free, despite the fact that I don’t have photo editing software (picmonkey, anyone?).

Yay!

Here’s to expanding our comfort zone and learning new things in this new year!

And please, feel free to take my button and post – the code to cut and paste is below the button along the side. And like OJH on Facebook, subscribe to get e-mailed posts (put in your e-mail at the top of the page), follow me on pinterest, and however else to want to keep in touch. Thanks!
