LIFE HACK

This post is part of the 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life Challenge (here’s my introduction to the challenge). I’d love for you to join in!

Day 3: Shabbat (means a small amount of time for a project!)

Assignment 1:Keep up with yesterday’s “small thing”

My small thing was clearing off my desk. Hey, my desk wasn’t used because it was Shabbat! 🙂 Check.

Assignment 2: Life Hack

Remember when I wrote about a housekeeping barometer? That’s a life hack. A life hack is a small tweak that changes the way you feel about things – something like Flylady’s clean sink or Crystal’s clean kitchen. It’s something that helps you feel like you start your day ahead instead of dragging.from behind since your feet hit the ground. I used to use my entryway, but I think in this house, I’m moving over to the kitchen (since our entryway is very different!) Our table and counter should be cleared and wiped. I cleaned up from Shabbat and did that before I even read today’s piece, so I’m feeling good about that!

Assignment 3: Continue the mega project

OK, I didn’t do a part from my mega project today. Partially because I am already doing earlier Shabbats and used up the shorter assignment I had planned to do today yesterday, and partially because I used tonight as a date night with my husband. An actual date, complete with dressing up and a babysitter! And it’s the first date in a long while, so I figured I could double up tomorrow. Got to grab the time while we can.

My mega project is going to be there tomorrow. 🙂 I’ll keep you updated.

How are you doing? Do you have a life hack / housekeeping barometer? Did you manage to do a project after Shabbat?
