Today is Yom Hazikaron. It’s a solemn day we remember the 22,993 fallen Israeli soldiers.
I tried and tried to think of how to write a meaningful post on this. But there is a lot going on for me right now, and I just couldn’t make it read how I wanted it to. Luckily, I’ve found other people who had said what I mean better than my attempts came out. So I’m going to lean on them.
First, here is a moving video that shows a busy marketplace. When the 2 minute siren goes off (starting about minute 1 of the video), everyone freezes in place in remembrance. It is amazing to watch.
